A Perfect Summer Weekend

It was a perfect summer weekend...
and boy, did we pack a lot into it!

Our newlyweds, Tim and Amanda were home for the weekend,
so we took a trip to State College (PSU) and attended their Arts Fest.
We sat and watched the Bubble Man blow the most enormous bubbles...

Sunday we started our day with farm chores,
after which the turkeys followed the newlyweds home...

and hung out by the garage for half of the morning!

Our afternoon was filled with a visit from Tyler and his Mommy and Daddy.
We took Tyler for his first kayak trip on our beautiful river.

We paddled downstream enjoying the river wildlife...

We made the trip quite an adventure, exploring every bit of the river along the way.

We met these two...

out for a trip on the water...

What a water dog!

What a water kid!

Back at the farm we had a barbecue dinner and took some time to visit our friends....

feed the fish...

clean up some manure....

and stuff our faces with blueberries!

How many blueberries can you stuff in your cheeks?

It was a perfect day...
in an otherwise perfect weekend...
filled with love and laughter!
