Amazing Gracie

Well, it's official!
Grace and her twin girls will be coming to live at Bee Haven Acres in about a week and a half.

We visited the girls at their present home... Shadowcross Ranch...

about an hour and a half north of us.
Grace was just as sweet as was reported to us.

And her babies.....A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!
So.....meet Faith...

and Hope...

(oh, what amazingly long eyelashes little Hope has!)

The three of them are very quiet, very tame...not at all skittish.
I can hardly wait for their arrival!
What a busy week next week will be...new lambs and new chicks.

On our way back home we stopped at my all-time-favorite antique shop,
and found this wonderful cabinet.

It's an old chest from a hardware store...made around the turn of the century (1900).
I love all those wonderful little drawers... tiny places to hide little treasures!

We had our weekly Farm Breakfast...
asparagus fritatta, bacon, and pancakes.
Even the dogs enjoyed some egg treats...

You might notice a couple of extra dogs.
Indy is Dr. Becky's Australian Shepherd, and Rosie is her golden retriever.

The rest of the day was spent crossing items off of the Spring chore list.

A perfect spring weekend was served to us...
all tied up with a bow on top!
Temperatures hovered in the high 50's on Saturday and the low 70's on Sunday.
I had forgotten how good the warmth of the sun could feel on one's skin!

The very best part of the weekend may have been these...

A Bee Haven Acres original...
as I am sure that no one has ever thought of this combination before.

Peanut butter cupcake with buttercream frosting and bacon.
Boom!
There you have it.... best cupcake...EVER!
It was unanimous...best ever!

So, you see...bacon makes everything better!

gracie, faith and hope have no idea how wonderful their lives are about to be! they just hit the farm animal lottery. i love your new cabinet. i have one similar and i always used to fill it with candy. visitors were welcome to help themselves to the contents of all the drawers. i had people leave here with their pockets full and they were not kids! i love the photos of the dogs!
