Skating on Thick Ice

Yesterday morning we awoke to an inch of new ice on top of our snow.

Beautiful.

Treacherous.

Hubbs and Amanda both fell twice in the driveway trying to get to their cars.
Hubbs made his way down our icy drive, only to get stuck by the barn.
Needless to say, we all stayed home the rest of the day.

The chickens were quite comical as they skated their way across the surface of the ice.

Just a reminder...tomorrow's post will have a giveaway attached to it...
a $50 Amazon gift card.

My apron giveaway will take place next week...
this week has flown by all too quickly.

Thanks for starting my day off with a chuckle. I guess that's what the ice looks like when there isn't somebody out there with a plow every 10 minutes. I can certainly be thankful for that. Now you're getting snow on top of that. Old man winter hasn't gone away yet. Stay safe xxxooo

Woozers! That ice is slippery, you could have your own Olympics! I think it was a smart call to stay home in those conditions. Stay warm and off the ice. Hugs!!

Watching the pups slipping and sliding was pretty funny. :-) Ours did the same thing this morning when I let them out - the ice arrived in the early morning hours. They declared state of emergency for our area last night and we're all staying home today. Most roads are closed and people are told to just stay home. We don't handle weather like that very well in AL. Stay warm and safe!

I hope Hubbs and Amanda are ok, and did not get hurt with the fall on the ice. The video was a hoot!
Thank you so much for coming over to visit and leaving such kind thoughts..
Be careful out there.
