A Walk On The Wild Side

Unfortunately, with the frigid weather we have been having lately,
there seems to be much less activity in the woods.
The deer are always on the move in search of food....

and of course the squirrels....

I spy a fox in the distance... you can just see his eyes light up...

I had moved the cameras to a location near where our friends had seen bear tracks.
I have no hopes of seeing bear now while it is this cold.
I am keeping my hopes up that springtime will yield a bear photo!

For now, though, I am content to see these beautiful deer...
at night...

and also, during the daylight....

Most of the deer seem to be seen at twilight, though...

On occasion, a couple of wild things pass by the camera at a high rate of speed...

I don't know about you, but I am so excited to watch the woods
wake up when Spring arrives!
It's been a long, cold winter...and I am sure that all the critters of the woods are ready for a break!
I know I am.

Burrrrrrrrrrr! Where were those wild thing hats? Didn't your Mother tell you," you can't go outside with out your hat on, you'll catch your death of cold"!

The photos of the dear in the snow and trees are sure beautiful. I agree, onto Spring and warmer temps!
Enjoy your weekend, hugs!
Happy Valentine's Day Bev.
Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Beautiful to look at, but that is where it stops for me... I don't think I could handle that cold.
I wish I could send you some warm weather... It is in the 80's here today... Will be spending time out in the garden. Stay bundled up... Love the deer. They are so majestic.
blessings,
Penny

I am anxiously waiting for spring as well, but it's still quite cold over here but no snow yet this winter (keep your fingers crossed!).

Do the deer ever come over and nibble in your garden?
