A Walk On The Wild Side

The deer bait continues to attract a lot of deer...
5,548 photos of deer this past week.
Here are a few of the highlights...

It has been super cold here this week...which I believe explains why there are not
photos of any small critters.

It is time to move the cameras....
perhaps back to the 100 acre wood....
which, by the way......

Our friends who visited last weekend saw fresh bear tracks in the snow
when they were out cross-country skiing through the 100 acre woods!
Dag-nabbit!....the camera was in a different location!
Just my luck.
Patience will prevail, I am sure.

Do bears not hibernate? They do here in my country. They come out in Spring.

Bears do hibernate....but it is not uncommon for them to wake on occasion and go outside.

Oh goodness, fresh tracks! What are they doing awake in the snow & cold? I would still be snuggled in or hibernating if I want to be politically correct, ha-ha! Enjoy your weekend, hugs!

Hi B/Bee/Beverly~ I am just popping in to say Hi to you-coming from Missy's blog at This & That. She told us how much her hubby loved you so I figured you must be a good soul. I have been away from blogging for a bit due to pneumonia. When I am back blogging I will catch up on some of your past posts. I am your newest follower and I will put you on my sidebar. That is my reader list. Great pictures here-out of the 5000+ you took!;>) Diana

Great photos! I hope you get a good picture of a bear. When we were in the Adirondack Mountains.... every summer as a kid and then into my many married years..... we would go to the garbage dump to see the bears. One time two bears got in a fight! It was not a great thing to see. Some people are not very careful and forget they are wild. Even at the dumps. we needed to keep our distance. So anyways, hope you do get a great picture of one.
