Morning Games

Every morning as the sun hits the horizon...

the equines start their morning off grazing in the front pasture.

These days I am putting hay out for them as there's not much left to eat.

As I scurry about the barn doing chores,
I am often aware of the sounds of our dogs playing.

Yesterday morning, however, it occurred to me that someone new had joined
in the fun and games...

Would you mind answering a question for me?
Do you enjoy the videos...or would you rather just see photos?

I love the videos. Seeing life that is so different than mine is very enjoyable. You do a great job!

Both. Photos just would not have captured all the fun in this one.

Annie really seemed to enjoy the game and seems to have respect for the turkeys. I know it must be hard for you to find something to share 5 days a week. I certainly appreciate that you continue to post and love the videos!
Colder weather (for us) is finally coming to Austin this week. We put our more sensitive potted plants in a protected space over the weekend and we're ready. Have a great week, Bev.

I think you have a nice mix of both. Loved Annie and the Turkeys! Mollie prefers the videos. She likes the sounds. Have a good day.

Really love the "chirps" that the turkeys are making, that is very interesting. I've never heard that sound before! How funny to see Annie playing with the turkeys!! Looks like they are having fun. This one, a video was necessary! Couldn't have gotten the same effect with just photos, but I also do love the photos of the landscape and your garden, etc...

I enjoy both the photos and videos especially as I'm a city-girl. I hope the turkeys were having as much fun as Annie!

I like seeing your videos. I have a picture in my mind (from your pictures) of what your farm and the lay out is, but when I see a video, it is always different. So I like the videos!

Looks like Annie is having a great time and the turkeys are too. I like both pics and videos but if I had to choose, I guess I would say videos but I really do like the pictures too. You know how I love those littles!! Ha.

I love them both! And in this one I love that the guineas are completely oblivious to the game going on!

The video's let us see & hear some things that aren't possible with the camera, but I am a bug fan of your photogtaphy too. I didn't know Annie had started a fall aerobic class for Tom & Chuck. If they keep this up, they will be well-toned Toms. Too funny seeing them pretending not to pay attention to Annie and then breaking into a turkey run.

Another vote for both! It was so cute watching the turkeys play!

Is she your turkey "trainer" so they don't get too big? Love the videos so that we can see a slice of rural life. I hope you'll share this outdoor post on The Maple Hill Hop!

It gives me such a different perspective. Nothing like the busy city life here!
I think I need to find a nice handsome farmer to marry! ha ha!

I love the videos! I watch several times to take in the main action and then concentrate on the sights and sounds in the background. Background farm noises probably don't even register with you but I really enjoy hearing them.

I love your photos and just as much a delightful video just like ths one. I wonder what would happen if the turkey's would catch the dog or the dog caught the turkey's. Quite the exercise routine for the three of them!
