Some Folk (Of The Equine Persuasion) Just Don't Understand Art!

I had a suspicion that building a snowman in the front pasture
might lead to a couple of "tails".
Horses don't disappoint.

Not when it comes to shenanigans.

They were all out eating their breakfast,

ignoring the snowman.

That is, until the hay was finished.

Seeing something new and strange,

of course they all had to investigate.
(And by investigate, I mean take a bite or two!)

Scarlet, however, felt the need to take off both of the snowman's arms and
all of her accessories ...

systematically removing every piece that wasn't snow.

When Moonbeam saw what she had done,
he sauntered over and admonished her.

Scarlet hung her head in guilt.

And then, all of a sudden, she got a gleam in her eye...
and she huffed and she puffed....

and started rocking that snowman...
back and forth...
until...

Crash!
The snowman was in three pieces on the ground.

"There!" said Scarlet.

"Finished."

"Sure glad I didn't do that!" sighed Moonbeam through frosty lips.

If Scarlet were human, I am sure she would be one of those kids who would
read the sign on a wooden bench that said "wet paint",
and still think it was just fine to sit down!

How funny!!! You could make another just outside the fence to tease them!! We got snow!! We can go years without a snow storm. I'm so excited, but I'm in the minority. It pretty much shuts the NW down. But to work I go even though they say to stay home and off the roads. !! Boss doesn't take weather as an excuse to stay home. I could do a whole post on this subject, grrr. I hope you have a great weekend!! Hugs!!

Hi Bev! I don't comment very often but I read your blog every day. Thank you so much for the daily smile you give us. I also wanted to tell you how wonderful your photos are. I know that you took that photography class a few months ago and although I've always loved your photos, you can definitely see that the changes you've made by going to manual settings. You've inspired me to finally learn how to use my beautiful Nikon in something other than automatic! This post really made me laugh out loud! Have a wonderful weekend!

Well, thanks for the comment today!!! I have to admit, however, that for today's photos, the camera was on automatic...with a fast shutter speed...for movement. Sometimes you just get lucky and they turn out quite nice. I keep trying to improve.

Those are some smart horses! They know how to have a good time...especially Scarlett. Have a fantastic weekend! Finally, the Pineapple Express is coming to town. I will be baking, cleaning and sewing. A nice weekend to do it. We expect 2-4 inches of rain.

Delinquent horse vandals - I love it! Good thing they can't get in the chicken coop or they'd be egging the house.

I don't own or know about horses but I do read about them. That Scarlet and the Snowman incident seems like a pony thing to do. Is she a pony?
Bee Haven Bev said…
Scarlet is indeed a pony...as is her brother Donnie Brasco.

Ollie (our little grey and white mini) would definitely egg the house...he is the most mischievous of the bunch!!
