Digging Out

Yesterday brought us another 9 inches of snow.
There was much digging out to be done by mid afternoon.

A neighbor plowed our long driveway...

and we did a little clean-up work with the 4 wheeler.

The chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs and donkeys all had to have paths cleared through the snow.

The donkeys flatly refused to leave their house until a path was shoveled.
These two are just a little bit spoiled.

But, who could resist?

After all, they are so darned cute...

and always ready to have receive a smooch on the nose.
(which they get lots of... regularly!)

As I said before, the horses don't seem to care about snow.

They are out trudging through it without complaint.

As for me...
well, I think my love affair with winter has ended.
"Hear that Winter?  I am breaking up with you!"
"You may leave.
Now."

See my gator?  It's stuck.  For the 6th time...in one hour.
"Yep," says Moll, "it's stuck, Mom!"

For some reason, Moll loves the snow.
She hops and leaps into the air doing 360 degree spins!
(She's probably been watching the Olympics.)

Hubbs came to my rescue, thankfully.

I am pleased to see you still have a sense of humour despite your frustration with the weather! I hope your animals all appreciate the trouble you go to on their behalf!

Ugh, so much work...it's pretty but enough is enough, right? We had a about that much and it all went away in one day! It was a bit freaky. I had a river running through my property, you could have done a raft trip to the ocean on it. Come on Spring!

I am enjoying seeing my friends in "the land" dealing with more snow and me saying almost nothing arrived here. We missed it for once!

I like those cute donkey's too . . .

That's a lot of snow!! Hopefully the warming trend heading our way, will head your way, too. We're expecting temps in the mid 60's next week and we're all looking forward to that!

I will try and do the Spring Dance for you so the snow goes away fast!.. Wait, there's to much snow to go away fast! Okay, so maybe just saying a little prayer that the work isn't too much and the animals enjoy your effort! Stay warm, don't wort too hard and snuggle in!!! hugs!

NBC Nightly News specifically said your state would get a dumping. Gosh, did you ever. Since we are dried up like popcorn out here in California, we are looking to get more rain this weekend. It is cloudy, and a balmy 60 degrees. We don't want Spring out here...no where near us just yet. Have a great weekend!

How could one resist that fuzzy nose?? Mollie has a habit of jumping over snow banks to get to "virgin" snow. Unfortunately it is now soft and deep and she just sinks down to the level where it's frozen..She'a a mess..
.This amount of snow makes a ton more work for you...Our roads were clear all day with our driveways plowed shut..They dug them out at 6 PM...Hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day..Much love..
PS..5 more inches tonight in to tomorrow :)

I wonder for how many millenniums the human species has lamented about the weather. Whenever I get in a funk about working when feeling ill or in rough conditions, I sing Happy Working Song from the movie Enchanted. Cheers!

I'm glad you are able to dig out a little bit. Soon it will all be behind you and you'll be able to get out in those garden beds!
Wow, that's a lot of snow! I love that plow on the four-wheeler...I think we need one of those for our 6 wheeler...to scrape the gravel drive. What a cute little nose on your donkey..they are adorable.
I broke up with winter 2 storms ago . . . He didn't get the message as he's outside now, dropping 6-8 inches! Ugh ðŸ˜
