Efficiency Isn't All It's Cracked Up To Be...

I'd like to think that I am efficient when it comes to barn chores.
And truly, I would get done much quicker if my animals weren't
so darned cute...
and adorably lovable!

I set out each morning to get the work done quickly...

it's been quite frigid, you see...

but invariably I end up on the ground...

surrounded by my friends.

Early mornings are the best part of every day.

Quiet.

Peaceful.

Still.

And so, my chores take longer than they should...
but that's ok...

I can't imagine my mornings any other way!

I'm sure they look forward to your visit each morning!
You and I have the same kind of barn chore routine. However you have many more animals than I do, and I MARVEL at your efficiency, truth be told. :-)

Good Morning ...dropped by for a visit :)
I can only imagine how much fun you have. I only have my dog and cat and I enjoy our feedings in the morning.

How do you avoid sitting in "do do?" The animals look like they are wearing their winter coats!

I am fastidious about cleaning up do-do every day... (actually about 3 times a day)....dry lot is very clean, and the pasture gets regular cleaning too.

How fun donkey snuggles! I do my snuggles every morning before hoping out of bed, yes those pupsters sleep with me. I had told myself no dogs on the bed. You can see how that went. I don't think I will be sitting with morning chores of feeding my girls(hens) for our ground is pretty wet. Talk about a muddy bottom, ha-ha! So I guess you have to give extra snuggles for me with your morning chores! Hugs!!

I also appreciate the morning chores. Everyone seems so happy to see me! After their breakfast, there's lots of time for hugs (as well as poop scooping!) I love your blog. I get donkey envy every time I visit!

I had that same feeling last night around 10PM when I was walking Mollie in the freshly fallen snow..No wind, quiet,so peaceful and serene..Today it has been blemished by plows and salt..Mollie didn't know which paw to hold up first this morning..First time the salt here has bothered her...Short walk this AM..Will try again later..

I just have to say that I love your blog. It's my favorite.

I really should be living on a farm. I know it's a lot of hard work, but it's seems to be the good and rewarding kind. (And working from home, which is a huge plus). I'm not a morning person in the slightest, but I can see how all those animals might turn that around after a while. It's that unconditional love, I tell ya!

Oh....donkeys are just the best!! My only advice is to get them when they are young...and get two so they have a friend!
