It's Beginning To Look....

Due to the fact that yesterday was my day off farm chores
(thanks to Jim filling in for me)
and also due to the fact that I am under the weather right now
(my annual dose of laryngitis)....

I spent no time with my precious four legged friends yesterday...
but instead stayed in the house and decorated for Christmas.
So today I will share with you some of our Christmas decor.

The tree in the living room....

 covered in snowmen ornaments

And homemade felted mittens.

A tiny tree in the guest bedroom...

in shades of silver.

The tree in the family room....

a woodland Christmas theme.

Fresh greens tucked in every corner...

covering the mantle...

Whimsical snowmen in a Christmas village...

And a whimsical Santa sitting in the antique scales on the kitchen counter.

Today I am back out with my critter friends.
Oh, how I miss them when I am not with them!

Pretty soon it will be time to deck them out for Christmas, too!!
What fun!

I see a tatted piece beside the mitten. Do you tat? I am a tatter so it always catches my eye. Beautiful trees

Hope you are feeling better today. I love your Christmas decor, very cozy and warm. Your trees are beautiful! It was 27 degrees here in Marysville California; now I know that might be a high for you, but you know we Californians are NOT used this at all....well unless you live in the Tahoe region.

You are actually having colder weather than we are, Laura. It has been in the 50's this week....but more cold is on its way...after tomorrow's rain.

I did teach myself to tat a few years ago...and really enjoyed it. Although, I have not done any in a while now. Knitting replaced tatting for now.

Ahhhh...the big tree is easy to get in....we have the tree farm bale it for us. Getting it out is another matter. One year our tree was enormous, and Jack had to use the chainsaw (in the living room) to cut it into sections so that we could get it back outside again!!

Thanks Cindy! Will we be seeing any trees on Prairie's Edge Farm???

I saw Christmas Cookies on Maple Hill....will we be seeing any decorations??

There is something very special about a log home in the wintertime for sure, Lynne. Now are you going to soon check decorating your tree off your list?? Check, check, check!

Thanks Deb, and unlike your kitties, ours do not get a chance to even consider climbing the trees!!! And thanks, I am on the mend...coughing, coughing, coughing....
