A Visit From Tyler

Finally, with everyone healthy again,
Tyler was able to come for a visit this weekend.

He spent the afternoon with us on Saturday,
and we filled every moment with activity.

He rode on the gator (his favorite!) with Grampie...

visited with Ginger and MaryAnn...

helped to feed the donkeys....

horses....

and took feed...

out to Ginger and MaryAnn.

I don't think it's ever too soon to teach children to love and care for animals.
I hope with all of the time he spends with them,
that he develops an affection for animals that lasts his lifetime.

Grammie (attempted to) gave Tyler a haircut (oh my, don't ask)
followed by a tubby,
followed by a cookie and a book...

This is such a fun age.
His verbal skills improve every time I see him.
Finally, after 2 1/2 half years, we can hold a conversation!

We are preparing for a very very cold week here on the farm.
Everyone will get extra portions of hay this week.
Luckily, we still have a barn full of hay!

Tyler is such a cutie! I think it is so nice he gets to spend a little time with you on the farm. This helps develop a love of such wonderful things from this age. Maybe he'll grow up to have a farm filled with loved animals as you have, Beverly!

Tyler is getting to be a "big boy"! He will have such fond memories of growing up and visiting your farm. It is going to be cold here in PA this week. Not use to it.

What a wonderfu experiance that Tyler has to be on a farm!! My Indiana Grandparents had a farm and I LOVED to visit it and remember it 5 decades later the fun of the animals --- except when Grandma rang the chicken's neck :-{{{. But the farm provided all their food and food for family members who lived close. I'm so sad that my girls never got to visit a farm and use a outhouse!!

I love children and I am happy to see Tyler well from his bug. I spent the entire weekend in the Santa Cruz mountains with my cousins ranging from ages 1 to 58! (3 generations of cousins) The weather...a balmy 60 degrees. I do not get to spend time with wee ones often and I cherished every moment. I do not have children of my own and holding them and cuddle time is so dear to me. Have a wonderful week and thank you for sharing Tyler pictures! KEEP WARM! My chickens have been laying lots of eggs...cold snap is gone for now.
