Weekend Fun

It was a whirlwind weekend on the farm.
We planted grass around the new indoor arena...
no little task, I might add!

Weekend guests... friends and family added to the fun.
We took a trip to a local college town for dinner,
and on the way stopped to visit a local alpaca farm.

Alpacas are one animal we don't have on the farm.
And although I do think they are adorable,
we have no plans to add any, either.

I must admit, they are rather irresistible!
But, remember....I did say no more animals!
This is a rather large alpaca farm with 13 pregnant females.
We will visit them again this summer after the babies are born.

I was so happy that Tyler came for a visit.
He hasn't been to the farm for a few weeks,
so we headed out to see the animals.

He loves Grammie's gator and a ride was the first order of business.
(Oh, and Maddie, our newfie is halfway through her
summer haircutting...so she looks a little mangy right now.)

Then up to see the pigs and the baby goats...

Is there anything cuter than kids with kids?

Tyler will be 2 in June.
How quickly those two years have passed!

What fun...marching through the pasture with the Roos!

Weekends on the farm are always full of activity...
both work and play.
Best of all, though, is the time spent with family and friends
just enjoying the magic of this place!

WoW! That is one big dog. And your pics with you, Tyler and that huge dog in the Gator is too cute!
By the way, if you go to the Alpaca farm when there are babies, you'll come home with one. Or two! :-) How could you not?

I'm with you, I don't really want an alpaca. We have an llama farm right down the road, and yes, they are adorable, but I just don't need one. Those little kiddles are priceless!

I see baby alpacas in the near future...That "no more animals" policy will go right out the window...There is nothing cuter than a baby alpaca...Love your farm...
