Picture Perfect

Yesterday was one of those days.

Perfect.

I sat in the front pasture with the horses for a while yesterday afternoon,
just soaking in the beauty.

Temperatures in the seventies,
brilliant blue sky with storybook clouds.

A more perfect day could not exist.

Just Sammy and I sitting there....
horses in front of us...

Ollie behind us...

It was one of those days so filled with peace and beauty,
that I did no dreaming or scheming....
just soaked in the wonderfulness.

Late summer days, with autumn around the corner...

It's so important to stop and really soak in a day like this.
Breathing deeply....
filling all of your senses with it
before it is gone.

As I sat there, the horses and ponies eventually moved closer to me
and grazed within feet of me.
Each one stopping for a quick visit...

It seemed they appreciated the day as much as I did.

Peaceful.
Pastoral.
 Perfect.

Temperatures in the 70's - that sounds absolutely wonderful. It's still in the 90's during the day here, but you can definitely tell fall is on it's way. Everything looks so serene on your farm, what a great way to spend an afternoon.

Good morning Bev!
What beautiful pictures and description of your day yesterday...a great way to start the week. Oh to have temperatures in the 70's during the day! We're going up to 105 today the weatherman says and tomorrow is to be the same. I'm SO looking forward to fall this year. With a summer such as we've experience here in Kansas and across much of the States it makes me really appreciate the beautiful temperatures I had up in the mountains in British Columbia! Unfortunately for them they had a cool rainy summer while we endured the heat...looks like you're one of the few areas that has enjoyed beautiful summer temperatures. I love your farm...it looks so peaceful and GREEN ;) All your animals look happy and content...how could the not be with a home like theirs! I hope today is another beautiful one for you.
Maura :)
Yes, it was a beautiful day. I had all my windows opened, no air conditioning running and I loved every minute of it.

Hot here. In the 90's today.Would trade for a day with 70's weather anytime. Want to trade? I already know that answer.
