Garden Delights

"No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth,
and no culture comparable to that of the garden."-- Thomas Jefferson

It seems there is nothing more peaceful to me than sitting in my garden,
with a barn cat on my lap....
watching plants grow,
and soaking in the positive energy that they exude.

I am amazed each morning as I water the garden
how much growth there is in just one day's time.

I have decided that of all the things that I do,
gardening is my favorite!
To watch our food grow,
knowing that we have raised it organically,
and then to be able to harvest it
and enjoy it's healthy sustenance
is the most rewarding thing I can think of.

Come with me and take a peak at how things have grown
since your last visit....

With the prices in grocery stores lately, you are wise to grow your own. Now I'm going to watch your movie. :-)

I love seeing your gardens! Everything looks like it doing so well. I also like that seating area nearby. That's one thing I need to add to my veggie garden. Not only to rest while working, but just to sit and enjoy the plants. Have a great day, and thanks for the video.

Love your garden..It looks like one big salad...Just take a plate, fork and salad dressing and you're all set...Soon you won't be able to walk around some of the boxes with out being attacked by a vine of some sort..Great job..too bad about the strawberries...

There is really nothing like reaping from the sweat of your labor! You have a really beautiful and well kept garden. I enjoy watching it as it is growing. Before long-the table!!

I was just saying to my husband that I don't understand people who don't like to garden. It's so soothing and yet so energizing too.

Can't believe I'm commenting again but I LOVE your boxes. They're so pretty! Were they from a kit? I love how they dovetail at the corners (if that's the word).

Hi Bev,
I just love blogging for this simple reason...we get to visit wonderful places like yours. Watching your video's are fun because it makes us feel like we're right there walking along side of you as you're talking...perfect! Your raised boxes are something I have to show my hubby so when he get's up I'm going to play this video for him. I've been asking for them for years but maybe seeing this video will make him understand WHY. We'll see. Thanks for the wonderful garden tour and I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!
Maura :)
