Uh, Oh!

So, yesterday we spoke of Spring.
You must understand that I wrote that post on Sunday night.

Monday (yesterday) morning I awoke to this....
We were prepared for 2 1/2 inches of rain and colder temps,
but we were unprepared for this.
This ended up being our largest snowfall of the season.
(We pretty much had snow on the ground for two months,
but that came in small amounts.)

Dear Hickory was unprepared as well,
and came back into the house looking like this....

A warm rinse quickly got rid of these.

Hopefully this will be the last time for this year
that I share with you how beautiful it is around here
when it snows.

And so I leave you with one last thought...

Oh no... I do think all that snow looks beautiful, but come March I'm just really done with it. I hope Spring will be back soon for you guys.

Love the pictures of the snow. It looks so beautiful. Poor Hickory. The animals and humans on your farm will be sure happy when spring arrives.

Hi Bev,
You did get snow! We had the rain. Hickory is soooo cute. You have given her a new life on the farm. You have probably been up already for hours and we just finished breakfast. I must be off to take my shower. I think I will be polishing my silver pieces today.
Hugs, Sandy

Oh, my goodness! Our Miniature Schnauzer ( Zucker ) came waltzing into the house with the same snowballs on a couple of occasions this winter. We always have the "towel brigade" waiting by the back door. But I cringed and caved with the snowballs. We went directly to the tub and sprayed those puppies off!

It does look pretty, but I am also ready for spring. We have some seriously iffy weather right now--rain, snow overnight and back to rain again tomorrow. Yech.
