Seeds for this summer's garden have started to arrive.
This year I am trying some new vegetables.
Parsnips...
Red Dragon Carrots...
Red Emperor Beans....
and Romanesco Cauliflower....
These are just a few of the varieties of veggies that will be added
to this year's garden boxes.
In addition, I will continue our traditional planting of
herbs
peppers, sweet and hot
tomatoes, heirloom
cucumbers
squashes
corn
green beans
sugar snap peas
broccoli
cabbage
onions, several types
lettuces and spinach
asparagus
egg plant
carrots
beets
radishes.
Do you plant anything else?
Do you have any suggestions for things I might try?
Let me know while there is still time to order!
I also ordered 10,000 earthworms to add to my garden boxes.
When the weather is a bit warmer, I will dig compost into them and
sprinkle the earthworm eggs on top...
a perfect recipe for ultra healthy soil!

Those red carrots look intense, never heard of them. Is the flavor different?
This summer I am moving all of my lettuces and spinach into my salad table that Hubbs built for me. I will keep that closer to the house than the main garden is. Corn, beans and squash will move into the new largest and lowest box that will house my "Three Sisters" project. That frees up a lot of space in the rest of the boxes.
It is amazing how much yield can come from small spaces!
