Afternoon Playtime

It's pretty much the same scene
each afternoon.
The weather changes,
but afternoon playtime is a constant.

The dogs accompany me for afternoon feeding
and an opportunity to romp with their
"friends".

Sam loves to stalk the cats...

They take turns pouncing on each other....

Happily, Sam has learned to come right back when called.

Maddie stays on the other side of the fence from the horses.
Big girls can't move fast enough to get away from them if needed.
And unfortunately, big girls don't fit under the fence,
like those wiry boys do!
She lets us know she is lonely with a pitiful "woof".

Ollie leaves the others to keep her company.

Sam leaves TomTom, but soon finds Bobby to play with.

Afternoons are a happy time.
I am surrounded by so much joy and enthusiasm...

it's really hard to ever be in a bad mood
in the midst of these characters!

I hope you are surrounded by joyful
and enthusiastic friends at some point today!
If not, feel free to stop by for some afternoon playtime.

I know what you mean about having our little companions around us and being unable to be - or at least stay - in a bad mood. My two cats (Daisy and Maggie) are just insane, bouncing all over the apartment and playing/fighting with each other all the time, they make me laugh no matter how sad or down I am at the moment. And I'm not, much, but it's good to know that I have an instant mood enhancer right here at home if I ever need one... or two!

What would life be like without animals? I too appreciate their crazy antics on a beautiful afternoon.

I'd love to go for a walk with you and your Gang. I have five cats and two dogs so I do know the joy they can give.

I grew up with two horses so I like them too.

It's good to have lots of friends, big or small, long or short haired, doggy or kitty breathed,,,friends make us 'gooder' at being humans....
