Smiles to Share

I am blessed....
blessed with days full of smiles.

My days are simple,
filled with simple pleasures....
simple pleasures that make me smile.

Like......

Sparkey, begging for more breakfast....

Oakley, as he races the gator, accompanying me during chores....

The excitement of my girls, as they get ready to go out for free ranging....

And their obvious pleasure
in snacking on wild raspberries at the edge of the woods....

A sure sign that summer is here....

The "peep, peep, peep, chuck, chuck" cry of my turkeys
as they answer my call....

Steam rising from the manure pile...
a sign of healthy compost that will
nourish next year's gardens...

Joyous anticipation of dinner....

Pots overflowing with beautiful flowers....

Antiques brimming with color....

Summer's bounty soon to be harvested....

Ducklings who are now enormous!....

Happy yearlings playing in the pasture....

On any given day, these things and so many more make me smile.
I am so very thankful for all of these blessings.
This truly is an amazing world.

I hope you shared a few smiles with me!
Have a great day...and take time to notice the little things that make you smile.
It's the little things that make life sweet.

Don't forget the bees! They make me smile. This is our first year of beekeeping & our berry bushes are obscene with blossoms like never before...

Isnt it amazing how the little things in life are what make us so happy? Watching my chickens go about their business is so fun. Same with the doggies and watching the garden grow. So amazing.

The activities of the animals at Bee Haven make smile and I like the others enjoy reading your blog every day, just to find what is new. Your animals definitely have personalty. It seems that life is much calmer without that pesky rooster.

Whilst it is beautiful here sun out and mild for winter. I love reading your blog. How quickly things change at your place. You make it all seem so easy, reality is taken a lot of work to get where you are. I would love a couple of dairy goats at some time and bees.
I love the happy smiling faces and the loving photos with the kids. I feel those new dogs will know they have a good life no matter for how long. Such generous spirits.
Thank you for warming the cockles of my heart in our Tasmanian wintertime.
