Why Is This Horse Smiling?

No, it's not because he is under anesthesia (which he is).
No, it's not because he is getting rid of that nasty
Testosterone (which he is!).
Red and Ollie had their castration surgeries on Saturday.
Ouch.
But that should cut down on the amount of wild stallion behavior
we have been witnessing of late.

So, he is smiling because........
It's because Oakley came for a visit!

Oakley is our rescue lab that has been fostered by our friend
Tonda and the Furry Friends Network.

By the end of this week he should officially be a
permanent member of our family.
We can hardly wait.

Maddie and Sadie are excited to get a new brother.
Do you know how hard it is to get three dogs to stay
still long enough to get a picture.

At least one is always blurry.
We will have to work on the group shot a bit!!

Oops, now I am blurry.....oh well, we will try again!

Oakley is just such a beautiful dog. I bet you can't wait until he's with you on the farm all the time. How are the littles recuperating?

We think he is part Boxer. He has the boxer stance in the haunches. And he jumps like a boxer. But his personality is all Lab. What a sweetie.
