There's No Place Like Home.....

I keep hearing these words....

echoing through my mind....and my heart.

There's no place like home, there's no place like home.

Well, the snowstorm that hit the East coast this weekend

put a crinkle in our travel plans.

Returning home was, putting it mildly....quite tedious.

We left this....

Landed in Charlotte, NC....with all connecting flights cancelled.

So, we rented an SUV and drove through this....

13 hours of driving....and we finally made it back to the farm.

And were greeted by this......

Myrtle gave birth to her triplets Saturday evening.

First out was the black and white buckling....

After waiting and waiting, Becky helped Myrtle deliver two

tri-colored females......so, so adorable.

Since then, Myrtle has kept busy cleaning and nursing her babies

(she is a wonderful Mommy)

All three are doing quite well....

in spite of the 12+ inches of snow outside the nursery.

We are overjoyed.....kidding season has begun.

It's good to be home....our favorite place on earth.

PS....we owe a debt of gratitude to Becky, Anna, and Aunty Fran....

who kept our feathered and furry friends happy and healthy

in our absence!

Welcome home. What a great welcoming sight. Three beautiful kids. I tried to get them to send the snow up here but just no deal. We haven't had any snow.
