Faint Whispers of Summer

Summer has yielded to Autumn, but still she utters faint whispers....remembrances. I thought I would share a few with you before they are gone......

Each year, her voice can be heard faintly in the Autumn wind....saying
"I'll be back!"

Thanks for sharing Bev. Envy is not something that we are put on this earth to do......but in this journey of life I do envy the peace that you have found. Continue to soak it in each day. Hugs.

Oh how I forget the seasons. It seems like just yesterday I was reading about all the snow you had and now it's autumn again? Easy to forget when your idea of seasons are wet and dry.

Elizabeth....the old log cabin was used as a storage unit over the past year while we were building. We are finally getting it emptied out and will eventually "fix up' the inside. It is extremely rustic on the inside.....but quite quaint. I still have not decided what we will eventually use it for....for now it is just a wonderful landmark. I will see what I can do about pictures at some point soon.

I was wondering what type of camera and lenses you use. You are able to get some truly amazing shots. Very gifted in all that you do!

i use two different cameras. When I am out working around the farm and don't want to miss the action, I carry a Canon Power Shot SX200IS (it is a great automatic point and shoot with optional manual functions and a video camera....a really great all purpose camera). However when I am heading out to do photography for fun I use a big Nikon digital SLR. I have a few lenses that I switch off and on....a 70 - 300 zoom lense and a macro lense for those up close and really personal insect shots. I am a complete novice with photography. Believe me, any really great shots that I have are a mere accident. I recenly met a photographer at a local arts festival that offered to mentor me. In the five minutes that I stood and spoke to him, I learned more than I ever did about photography. I still would love to have a wide angle lens....I think that is the only option that I am missing. And maybe Santa Clause reads my blog...?????
